Terms

The rules of the service, and what you agree to when you sit an exam.

Accounts

One account per person. The legal name on your account is what a certificate will carry, so it must be your real name; it locks once your first certificate is issued, and changing it afterwards is a request an administrator reviews. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.

Access codes and enrolment

  • Enrolment happens by redeeming an access code. There is no payment gateway on this site.
  • One code buys three attempts within seven days of redeeming it. Attempts do not come back and the window does not extend. When either runs out, you redeem a new code, which creates a new enrolment — nothing is reset.
  • A code is a bearer credential: whoever holds it can redeem it. Treat it like a password. We cannot recover a lost code, because we never store it — we can only disable it and issue another.

The candidate agreement

Before an exam starts you accept an honour code. In full, it is this:

  • The work is yours alone. No other person takes any part of the exam for you.
  • You do not copy, photograph, transcribe or otherwise reproduce the questions. The item bank is the asset that makes the certificate worth anything.
  • You do not use notes, another device or another person during the attempt unless the exam says you may.
  • You accept that the clock is ours. Closing the browser does not pause the exam, and time that passes is time spent.

Integrity, and what happens if it is breached

Attempts are monitored for signals such as a tab losing focus or answers arriving impossibly fast. These are evidence, never an automatic verdict — a person reviews them. If an attempt is voided for integrity, the result no longer counts, any certificate issued from it is withdrawn, and you are told by email with the reason and how to appeal.

Certificates

  • A certificate is issued when you pass, and is valid for the period the exam states.
  • Some certificates are awarded on the basis of prior evidence rather than an exam sat here. Where that is so, the verification page says so plainly.
  • We may withdraw a certificate if it was issued in error, if the attempt behind it is voided, or if you ask us to. A withdrawn certificate is never deleted: its page keeps resolving and reports the withdrawal.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available, and we do not schedule maintenance during exam hours. If a technical fault on our side costs you an attempt, tell us and we will restore it — that is a fault, not a used attempt.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will say so here and date it. A published exam version’s own rules — its duration, pass mark and attempt allowance — never change once it is live, so an exam cannot become harder underneath you. See privacy for how we handle your data.
